Ms. Muska Tarin is an Afghan-Canadian civic leader, women’s rights advocate, educator, humanitarian, and media professional. Born in Balkh Province, Afghanistan, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Dari Literature from Balkh State University and a Master’s degree in Law and Political Science from Maulana University.

Her professional and civic experience includes serving as a member of the Afghan Youth Parliament, founding the Bawar Foundation, serving as Principal of Fatima Balkhi High School, and managing the weekly publication “Osion.” She has dedicated much of her career to advancing education, women’s rights, youth empowerment, and community development.

Since 2022, Ms. Tarin has supported online education initiatives for girls and women in Afghanistan and humanitarian programs assisting widows, orphans, and vulnerable communities.

After moving to Canada, she founded and registered Canada Humanitarian Initiatives (CHI) Home – Canada Humanitarian Initiatives, a non-profit organization supporting newcomers and vulnerable communities. She also founded Amato Media in Toronto, a platform dedicated to social, cultural, civic, and political dialogue and community awareness.

Through her work in humanitarian service, advocacy, education, and media, Ms. Tarin continues to promote inclusion, empowerment, and positive community engagement in Canada and internationally.
